Character Voice Generator
Type any text and hear it in a game, cartoon or anime character's voice. Pick a character, describe an original one in a sentence, or add a robot or monster effect to any voice. Free to try, download the MP3.
Every character here has its own page with more samples and a generator set to that voice. Search the generator above for more characters. Looking for real people? See the celebrity AI voice generator.
Video game characters
Horror-game fans start with the Phone Guy AI voice and Nightmare Freddy from Five Nights at Freddy's, and the Baldi AI voice from Baldi's Basics. For platformers and action games there's the Sonic AI voice, Mario, Fox McCloud from Star Fox and the Kratos AI voice from God of War.
Cartoon characters
All of Bikini Bottom: the SpongeBob AI voice, Squidward, Patrick Star, Mr. Krabs and Plankton. Plus Homer and Bart Simpson, the Peter Griffin AI voice, the Optimus Prime voice generator, Adam from Hazbin Hotel and Riggy.
Disney, Pixar and Muppets characters
Mickey Mouse, Stitch, Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, Mater from Cars, Tigger, Kermit the Frog and Elmo. Good for kids' videos, story time and birthday messages.
Anime voices
Gojo and the JJK narrator from Jujutsu Kaisen, and Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender. For an anime character of your own, describe one in the Design tab, like "a brave young anime hero" below.
Announcers and classic computer voices
The Mortal Kombat announcer and the Smash Bros announcer for montages and tournament intros, and Microsoft Sam, the Windows XP text-to-speech voice, for memes.
Holiday characters
The Grinch and Santa Claus for Christmas cards, greetings and messages for kids.
No character fits your story or game? Describe one. Open the Design tab in the generator, write a few words like "a grumpy old dwarf blacksmith", and Lazybird makes a new voice to match. Press Keep this voice to use it in your projects. Each sample below was made from the words above it.
“A grumpy old dwarf blacksmith”
“A wise old wizard”
“A sneering villain”
“A cheerful little robot sidekick”
“A brave young anime hero”
Short descriptions work best: who the character is, their age and their mood. Give your character an accent with the accent generator.
Six effects change how any voice sounds: robot, deep, monster, echo, radio and phone. Pick one in the generator above, or set it on any block in Lazybird Studio, so a character can turn into a robot for one line and back for the next. Each pair is the same voice reading the same words, first as it is, then with the effect.
Own voice
Robot effect
Own voice
Monster effect
Own voice
Echo effect
Effects work on every voice: famous characters, a voice you designed, or your own voice from the Clone tab.
One click takes your voice and text from the generator into Lazybird Create, where it's generated straight away. In Lazybird Studio every block can have its own voice, so a whole cast fits in one project: write the script, give each line a character and export MP3, WAV or an MP4 video. This scene is two blocks per character:
SpongeBob: Good morning, Squidward! I made you a breakfast sandwich shaped like a clarinet!
Squidward: SpongeBob, it's six in the morning. Go home.
SpongeBob: I am home! I live right next door!
Squidward: Don't remind me.

Voice cloning is AMAZING
“The program itself takes a few tries to get used to. I was really interested in the voice cloning. One five-minute audio of me reading a book and BAM! minutes later it was loaded. I played with the expressiveness and speed and I CAN'T BELIEVE IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE ME!!!!! You can do multiple clones, so I am going to make a recording for different genres. This is over the top exciting. THANK YOU!”

Makes creating podcasts easy
“Lazybird uses your scripts (dialogues) to create voiceovers. The voiceovers can be one or more persons, though I only created two-person podcasts, a host and a guest...”

Awesome: Effortless Script Handling
“I have tried several systems before, and I can confidently say this is the best for long scripts. I even used it for a long audio script that lasts around 75 minutes. The great thing is that you just need to bring the text and paste it in the first section; the system will take all the script, no matter how long, and just past it, and it will divide it into sections. There's no need to copy one paragraph or sentence at a time...”
